As Trade & Activation Marketing Manager, you'll lead the commercial marketing relationship between Wuffes and our key retail partners, with a primary focus on the US market.
Acting as the bridge between brand and retail, you'll translate Wuffes' strategy into compelling in-store and omni-channel marketing programmes that drive visibility, engagement and sell-through across key US accounts.
We don't just want to 'be' in retail, we want to 'win' at retail. We want to be the brand retailers share case studies of, the brand retailers want to try new things with and get excited about. A launch strategy isn't enough — we want to build true lasting relationships with always-on programmes.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of brand and commercial. You'll partner closely with internal teams and retailer marketing contacts to plan and deliver best-in-class activations, ensuring Wuffes shows up powerfully across every touchpoint — from the retail shelf to the trade show floor at events like Global Pet Expo, SuperZoo and VMX.
Alongside this, you'll support Wuffes' international expansion — adapting proven US strategies for new market retail environments and helping establish strong, locally relevant retail partnerships.
📒 Your responsibilities:
Own the trade marketing relationship with key retail partners, acting as the primary marketing point of contact to negotiate premium in-store activations, endcaps, sampling opportunities and seasonal programmes
Develop and execute joint marketing plans with retail buyers and category managers, aligned to Wuffes' growth objectives and retailer category goals
Plan and deliver best-in-class in-store and experiential activations, ensuring brand standards are upheld across all doors and retailer touchpoints
Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Wuffes' presence at key industry trade shows (Global Pet Expo, SuperZoo, VMX), owning the booth experience and maximising buyer engagement
Own Wuffes' retail media strategy across key accounts, managing sponsored placements, search and display to maximise visibility and return on trade spend
Optimise product detail pages (PDPs) across retail platforms, ensuring best-in-class content, imagery, search rankings and review management
Lead trade readiness for new product launches, including sell-in materials, retailer toolkits and in-store execution plans
Build and maintain a best-in-class trade marketing toolkit — sell-in decks, product one-pagers, planogram guides, POS materials and digital assets — that empowers the retail sales team to win listings and grow accounts
Develop and own the annual trade marketing and promotional calendar, tracking ROI and feeding clear recommendations back into future investment planning
Develop retailer education programmes that equip store teams and buyer contacts with the knowledge to confidently recommend and sell Wuffes products, turning retail staff into genuine brand ambassadors
✅ What you bring:
5+ years' experience in trade marketing within FMCG, pet, wellness or supplements, with a strong track record of driving retail growth.
Deep understanding of the US retail landscape, with hands-on experience working with major nationwide retailers.
Proven ability to build and execute trade marketing strategies — from joint business plans and NPD launches through to in-store activation and sell-through — with data to back it up.
Experience developing trade marketing toolkits and sales enablement materials that help retail teams win.
Confident leading brand presence at major industry trade shows, including booth management and on-site coordination.
Analytical mindset with the ability to measure ROI, track performance and turn insights into action.
Highly collaborative and proactive, with strong project management skills and comfort working across cross-functional teams and external partners.
Exposure to international markets and an ability to adapt strategies for new retail environments is a plus.
